How Much Money Can You Make on YouTube?
YouTube does not pay one fixed amount for every view. Earnings can change significantly depending on where your viewers are located, what your channel is about, whether views are on long-form videos or Shorts, advertiser demand and the RPM shown in YouTube Studio.
This calculator is designed for quick planning. Choose an audience country and niche, enter monthly views, and the tool applies a conservative planning RPM. If you already have channel data, your actual RPM is the better number to use.
How YouTube Earnings Are Calculated
The basic creator-side formula is Estimated revenue = monthly views ÷ 1,000 × RPM. For example, 100,000 monthly views at an RPM of $5 gives an estimated $500 for that month. This is an estimate, not a guaranteed payout.
YouTube RPM vs CPM
RPM means revenue per 1,000 views from the creator's perspective. CPM is primarily an advertiser-side measure of ad pricing. Because they measure different things, CPM should not simply be inserted where RPM belongs.
YouTube Earnings by Views
| Views | Estimated revenue at selected RPM |

YouTube Earnings by Country
Viewer country can influence advertising value. The country selector uses planning bands rather than claiming an official fixed RPM for every creator. For country-specific estimates, see the localized pages for India and Iceland.
YouTube Earnings by Niche
Finance, insurance, business and some technology topics can attract different advertiser demand from entertainment or music. The niche selector uses internal planning multipliers only; it is not an industry-standard RPM table.
How Many Views Do You Need to Make $100, $1,000 or $10,000?
Use required views = income goal ÷ RPM × 1,000. At a $5 RPM, $100 requires about 20,000 views, $1,000 requires about 200,000 views and $10,000 requires about 2 million views. Your actual RPM may be very different.
Long-form vs YouTube Shorts Earnings
Shorts use a different monetization model and usually have much lower revenue per 1,000 views than many long-form channels. Do not use a long-form RPM as a Shorts forecast. Use the YouTube Shorts Earnings Calculator for a separate estimate.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does YouTube pay for 1,000 views?
There is no universal fixed payment. Your RPM depends on audience, niche, format, monetization and advertiser demand. Use your actual Studio RPM whenever possible.
How much is 1 million YouTube views worth?
At a $5 RPM, 1 million views would be about $5,000. At a $1 RPM it would be about $1,000. The formula is views divided by 1,000 multiplied by RPM.
Does subscriber count determine YouTube earnings?
Not directly. Subscribers can help generate views, but revenue is more directly connected to monetized viewing activity, RPM, audience mix and other monetization factors.
Does audience country matter?
Yes. Advertiser demand differs by market, so two channels with the same views can have very different RPMs.
Is this an official YouTube earnings calculator?
No. RandomlyTools is an independent planning tool. For the most accurate historical estimate for your own channel, use the RPM shown in YouTube Studio.
